Brunswick Place
The Brunswick Terrace site, put up for sale last year by Leeds City Council and Leeds Metropolitan University, has been acquired by Castlemoor Securities for £17m.
It is planning a £275 million, mixed use scheme for the site, expected to take six years to complete.
Castlemoore, in conjunction with Leeds City Council, will develop a new cultural quarter for this part of the city. Named the 'Eye' it will create an outdoor public space lined with double-height cafes and restaurants
A 30 storey tower will also be added to the skyline, along with 601,000 sq ft (55,833 sq m) of offices, 69,000 sq ft (6,410 sq m) of retail space.
